Actor Randeep Hooda has hinted at an exciting lineup of upcoming projects, expressing his desire to pursue roles that ignite a strong creative spark within him.
Speaking to ANI at a recent event in Gurugram, the Swatantrya Veer Savarkar star said, “I am currently in the stage where I have to choose. And that is what gives me the fire in my belly to do the next.” Hooda emphasized his commitment to selecting roles that challenge and inspire him.
Among his anticipated ventures is Operation Khukri, a film based on a daring real-life 2000 rescue mission in Sierra Leone, where 233 Indian Army soldiers were held hostage by rebel forces. Hooda will portray Major General Pal Punia, who led the operation as the Company Commander of the 14th Mechanised Infantry.
The rights to the film were jointly acquired earlier this year by Randeep Hooda Films and Rahul Mittra Films.
Hooda is also set to reunite with Extraction director Sam Hargrave in Matchbox, an action-thriller featuring WWE star and actor John Cena. Inspired by the popular Matchbox toy car line, the film follows a group of childhood friends working together to prevent a global disaster.
On Wednesday, Hooda attended the launch of Blenders Pride Four Elements at The Leela Ambience in Gurugram. He turned heads on the ramp in a striking all-black suit with detailed embroidery on the shoulders and chest. Commenting on his look, he said, “My inspiration for outfits comes from the designer, and I think it looks fabulous. They have done fine work on the jacket.”
With a mix of action-packed dramas and high-fashion appearances, Randeep Hooda continues to carve a dynamic path in Indian and global cinema.
